The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon from Wakefield/Taylor is the World’s Best Cabernet!
After spending time in Portugal and France, the trophy is headed back to Australia for its second visit there!
The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon from Wakefield/Taylor convinced the entire jury, including Laurent Derhé, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Sommelier and President of the Association des Sommeliers Lyonnais et Rhône-Alpes, who described the wine:
“A Cabernet with a superb, sparkling garnet robe. The nose is very open, flattering, encouraging.
Black currant notes dominate this rich wine, which also has a touch of menthol, almost like fennel. A nose both complex and open, that should please everyone.
The overall character is rich and creamy, in phase with the nose. It is fruity and pleasing on the palate. This is a flawless, modern Cabernet that will please immediately.
It can be enjoyed with juicy red meat, or with duck and a red berry jus, to go with the very prominent black currant notes.”
